Terms of Use
The terms on which you may use this website and any demo environment we give you access to. Work we do for a client is governed by a separate signed agreement, not by this page.

1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by DuneByte LLC, a company registered in the Sultanate of Oman. You can reach us at info@dunebyte.om. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.
2. What this site is
It describes what we do and gives you a way to get in touch. Nothing on it is an offer, a quotation, a commitment to deliver anything, or professional advice you should act on without talking to us first. Descriptions of our capabilities are general — what we would actually build for you, what it would cost and how long it would take are settled in a written proposal, not here.
We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free or up to date, and we may change or remove any of it without notice.
3. Nothing is sold on this site
There is no checkout, subscription or payment of any kind on this website. We do not take card details, we do not process payments, and we hold no billing information about you. There is accordingly no purchase to be refunded and no refund policy attached to this site.
Fees, invoicing, cancellation and any refund or credit for paid work are set out in the signed engagement agreement for that work. Where such an agreement exists between us, it prevails over this page in respect of that engagement.
4. Using the contact and demo forms
Please send us accurate information, and please only submit somebody else's details if you are entitled to. What we do with a submission is described in our privacy notice. Do not use these forms to send us confidential material: until we have a confidentiality agreement in place, treat anything you put in a form as an ordinary business enquiry.
Do not use the forms to send unsolicited marketing, bulk or automated submissions, or anything unlawful. We rate-limit them, and we may block a source that abuses them.
5. Demo environments
If we approve a demo request we may give you time-limited access to a demo environment. That access is personal to you and subject to the following:
- The sign-in link we email you is single-use and expires. Do not forward it or share your access with anyone else; if a colleague needs access, ask us.
- Access expires on the date we tell you, and we may withdraw or suspend it at any time, for any reason, without notice.
- The data in a demo environment is invented for illustration. It is not a real customer's information, and it is deleted and rebuilt on a schedule. Do not enter your own live operational data, personal data about real people, or anything confidential — it will be deleted at the next reset, and we cannot recover it.
- A demo environment is provided for evaluation only, as-is and with no warranty or service level of any kind. Do not rely on it for anything operational.
- Do not attempt to probe, scan, load-test, reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent the security of the environment or of this site, and do not use automated means to extract its content. If you want to security-test something of ours, ask us in writing first and we will very likely say yes.
6. Intellectual property
The name DuneByte, the text, graphics, diagrams, layout and software of this site, and the software in any demo environment, belong to DuneByte LLC or to our licensors. You may read the site, and print or save pages for your own reference or to evaluate us internally. You may not republish, resell, systematically copy or redistribute any of it, or present it as your own, without our written permission.
This site is built on third-party components used under their own licences, which we acknowledge here:
- Bootstrap — MIT Licence, © Twitter, Inc. and the Bootstrap Authors.
- The page design derives from Start Bootstrap's "Grayscale" template — MIT Licence, © Start Bootstrap LLC.
- Font Awesome Free icons — icons under CC BY 4.0, fonts under SIL OFL 1.1, code under the MIT Licence, © Fonticons, Inc.
- The Nunito and Varela Round typefaces — SIL Open Font License 1.1.

If you believe anything on this site infringes your copyright, email info@dunebyte.om with enough detail to identify the material and we will take it down or attribute it properly while we look into it.
7. Links to other sites
Where we link out — for example to our LinkedIn page — we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Availability
We do not promise that this site or any demo environment will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it, or take it down for maintenance, without notice and without liability to you.
9. Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that: this site and any demo environment are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of — or inability to use — this site or a demo environment, or from your reliance on anything published on it.
This section is about the website and the demo. It does not limit what we owe a client under a signed engagement agreement, which has its own liability terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version in force is the one published here when you use the site, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and the courts of the Sultanate of Oman have exclusive jurisdiction.
